A Tibetan monk known for his work teaching and social activist. According to
the cources, Kalsang Yeshe self-immolated at around 11.20am (local time) near a police station inside the monastery compounds. His slogans at the time of burning were the most common expressions demanding the return of the Dalai Lama to Ti- bet and freedom Tibetans. Shortly after his self-immolation, local police arrived at the scene and swiftly took away Kelsang’s body to Tawu County detention centre.
